ABOUT PILATES
Pilates is a method of exercise designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Pilates’ specific exercises and breathing patterns have been proven to be effective in the world of professional sports and physical rehabilitation of all kinds. It is named after its inventor, Joseph H. Pilates, a fitness and conditioning enthusiast born in Germany in 1883.

Pilates classes are most commonly delivered in three formats: group mat classes, group reformer classes, and private classes. Clients utilize a variety of apparatuses, including the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Ladder Barrel, Wundu Chair, and Spine Corrector.
